How do I know which mentor to select?

Depending on what stage you are at with your business, we recommend selecting someone who is positioned where you wish to be in the future. We don’t believe there is a wrong mentor for anyone as each mentor has their own business journey they’ve been on. If you are industry specific, we suggest going for a mentor who may be able to give you mentoring which you can apply straight to your business.

How do I pay my mentor?

You can pay online on the An Hour With website ahead of your first session. Once booked in, you will get instructions on how to setup your first mentoring call.

How do I meet with my mentor?

It’s never been easier to meet your mentor with tools such as Zoom available. Once you select a date for your mentor call, we will send you the Zoom link for your mentor call.

What if I need to reschedule my mentor call?

If you wish to reschedule, you will need to give us at least 48 hours notice so we can reschedule with your mentor & check upcoming availability.

Can I meet with my mentor regularly?

Absolutely. We recommend booking in a pack with a mentor once you have found someone you really gel with. You might even have a few who you love so we recommend pre-booking  a pack so you have hours banked up with them. Having regularly monthly mentor touch base calls also keeps you accountable and gives you a forum to freely speak about the previous month.

Can I have more than 1 mentor?

You bet! The more the merrier & you will get different support from each mentor. One mentor may be great for marketing, another for raising capital & another for dealing with the prickly hard times.

Am I allowed to meet with my mentor offline?

We will be holding An Hour With guest speaker sessions where you can meet your mentors in person. We will also live stream this to social media for anyone who can’t make it along.

Why is mentoring important?

Mentors encourage and enable another person's professional or personal development. A mentor can help focus their efforts by setting goals and giving feedback. As a result, companies that want to build employees' skills often create mentoring programs. The mentors' knowledge can help train and create a high-quality and productive workforce. Employees appreciate workplaces that encourage development, as it can demonstrate that their employer values them and wants to see them grow.

Who can be a mentor?

Mentors come in all shapes & sizes. If you have had a number of businesses or one big business, are an expert in your field, hit major milestones, had an exit & want to inspire and support other business owners along their journey.
